Festival Hall of Füssen

Inspired by the look of castle Neuschwanstein, which had been the imposant castle of the fairy tale king, the architecturer Josephine Barbarino built up the Festival Hall of Füssen. The building is only 4.000 metres away as the crow flies and is supposed to combine the romantic dream worlds and the weakness for technical progress of King Ludwig.

At the 25th of August 1998 the laying of the foundation stone took place. The 25th of August was not chosen coincidentally but with purpose because the 25th of August is the date of birth of King Ludwig II.

The location by the lake ist spectacular. It is only topped by the romantic baroque garden and the measures of the theater. The theater is 159,89 m in length and 31,25 m in height. The theater can seat 1.350 people. From each of the restorations you have an outstanding view at the lake and the castle.
