Walks and Panoramic Views from the top of "Tegelberg" mountain
In summer the "Tegelberg" mountain overlooking the town of Füssen is a marvellous hiking area. There are both easier mountain trails for walks with the family and routes for challenging hikes.
Having reached the summit, the visitor enjoys a fascinating view over the valley and the "Ammergebirge" mountain range, the largest natural reserve of Bavaria.
The Local Council of Schwangau and the Forestry Office have jointly created a "Culture and Wildlife Path", which is aimed at familiarising the guests in an entertaining and instructive manner with the local history as well as with the flora and fauna on the slopes of "Tegelberg" mountain.
Downhill and Cross-country Skiing
In winter the slopes of the Mount "Tegelberg" provide pleasures of skiing for guests of all ages. Modern snow canons and the floodlit "Adlerlift" and "Reithlift" ski runs ensure best winter sports conditions.
The floodlit cross-country skiing track, overlooked by the Royal Castles, offers an amazing skiing experience. The trail runs just below "Neuschwanstein" Castle through the wonderful snow-covered Algovian winter landscape.
