THE CABLE CAR “TEGELBERGBAHN”

In summer the Mount “Tegelberg” is a marvellous place for hikes, walks with the family on easier mountain trails and for more demanding mountain tours. Having reached the peak, the visitor enjoys a fascinating view over the valley and the mountain range “Ammergebirge”, the largest natural reserve of Bavaria.  

The administration of Schwangau and the forest administration have jointly set up a “culture and nature path”, which aims at familiarizing the guests in a diverting and instructive manner with the local history as well as with the flora and fauna around the Mount “Tegelberg”.  

In winter the slopes of the Mount “Tegelberg” offer skiing pleasures for guests of any age, thanks to modern snow canons and the lighted ski runs “Adlerlift” and “Reithlift”.  

For cross country skiers there is the lighted trail below the castle of “Neuschwanstein”. You ought not to miss it!
